Recognize this little one? She is now 3 months – officially and heading into her 13th week. She is crazy fun and such a GOOD baby!!! I’m spoiled for sure and already have that whole mommy amnesia thing that goes along with labor and newborns – even though she’s still a newborn and not that old. I don’t think that kicked in with Liam for a good 8-9 months! About the time he started sleeping through the night! But this one spoils me. She knows mama can’t function without her 8 hours (just ask Nate, it’s true)!

AND I have three layouts in progress right now. Why three? Because I can’t seem to complete one and I have ideas for others – so why not play with them all! This one I did for Piggy Tales using their new Gretel line – yep – it’s pink! I have another one almost completed for a friend of mine and another for a project. So many ideas buzzing around with not enough time to play! But at least my distractions are cute!

Happy Friday – almost!

Put on a happy face!

So today I walk into the room and see this: Two goofy boys smiling! The wee one has both her daddy AND big brother wrapped around her little finger – already. Two goofy boys smiling! The wee one has both her daddy AND big brother wrapped around her little finger – already. They’re smitten…and goofy…and insanely cute when trying to get her to smile!!!

And that smile they’re looking for?

I got it – FINALLY! Not the smirky thinking about the smile look, but the gum showing smile. Now, to catch the one with her tongue out because that’s equally adorable!!!

And what made me smile this afternoon?

What is that you ask? Why it’s a flyboat silly! Who wouldn’t recognize the boat with a mast and a rather fashionable and hopefully clean “The Incredible’s” sail? And just what is a flyboat you may wonder? It’s a boat that flies, containing a duckling, turtle and guinea pig who save animals in distress. I’ll leave it at that.

And what might make you smile?

How about a box full of sugar delicious-ness! I used to get these in college from my dad – without the fancy decorated box. It’s simply a plastic storage container for screws, nails – whatever. He’d fill it with all of my favorite gummy treats and mail it off – isn’t he the best dad ever! Anyway – I took that idea and decided to make one for my studio and obviously the box had to be pretty!!! I made a similar one for the BHG etc. column – it’s in the current issue out now.

More later! Smile!

And she updates.

I’m being forced to update! Sent to my studio with no crying children, dinner to prepare or dust bunnies to hunt down and vacuum – oh the horror! I need to slack on the blog front a little more often! Apparently, hubby likes the photos. Fair enough! So what to talk about – lot’s of [...]

I’m being forced to update! Sent to my studio with no crying children, dinner to prepare or dust bunnies to hunt down and vacuum – oh the horror! I need to slack on the blog front a little more often! Apparently, hubby likes the photos. Fair enough!

So what to talk about – lot’s of updates.

The kids – sick and sick. Yep, again. Colds this time and I got it too – lucky me. But we’re hanging in there and trying not to repeat January…PRAYING that we don’t have to repeat January because that would just be mean. But Liam is on spring break WOOHOO (love that friends episode) for the next two weeks so we’ve been managing to stay busy – or better yet – he has been managing to keep ME busy. It’s all good though. Nice to have him to myself again.

And Addy is growing like crazy. She’s smiling and chattering – and yesterday she laughed, I think. I was more of a squeal but she wanted to laugh, I know it. But she is sleeping…we’re talking good solid 8 hours a night sleep…totally makes this sleep loving mama happy!!!

And she’s still a healthy little chubba-muffin – check out the cheeks!!! Love it!

Liam was half her size at this age!!! So fun looking back at photos. I think that they have some similarities but it’s SO hard to see because Liam NEVER had any chub!!! Where did my baby boy go?

On the work front – not much to share. I did some assignment work that’ll be out this summer – obviously can’t show it. I have some pages buzzing in my head but need some time to get creating!

Now…to get punished again and sent to my studio.

More later!

****ETA
So I was looking through some old photo albums that my mom let me hang onto since I am a scrapbooker AND she has everything in construction paper albums (I know…pick yourself up off of the floor). And I saw this polaroid (yes, a real polaroid – no fancy digital stuff here):

It’s a baby me (don’t ask me why I’m posting a horribly unflattering photo of myself)…with quite the giant head don’t ya think? I kind of look like I was just in a boxing match! I didn’t turn cute until I was closer to 6 months – I started to grow into my head by then. I have no idea what Nate looked like this young – but if he had a gigantic head as well…our little girl was doomed. Here ends my quest for the origin of Addy’s large cheeks.

OK – enough old photos for now. I’ll spare my sister because I ALMOST posted one of her too…but that would just be cruel. I’ll save that for another day.

Cutting.

I broke a sweat today!!! Unfortunately it was while using my corner rounder…is that considered exercise? I really do need to find be one that’s better – get a shinier updated model. Any suggestions? Mine kills my thumb/hand and I’m going to pull a muscle if I keep it up. Oh the horror. In other [...]

In other news, I had my hair cut for the first time yesterday since Addy was born. Can I just tell you that I was due for a haircut the week that my water broke? So unfair. Needless to say it was LONG overdue and felt SO GOOD!!!! So why am I sharing this? Because the salon usually means one thing – BRAGGING RIGHTS!!! Where else can you go and talk about your children for an hour (maybe 2) and still be invited back? And I took photos in a cute little brag book I made just for the occasion (well not really but it gave me an excuse to get one going).

And Miss Adeline is now 9 weeks!!!

Another challenge.

I forgot to post this over the weekend…no big deal though! I did another layout challenge over at the Creating Keepsakes site. I forgot to post this over the weekend…no big deal though! I did another layout challenge over at the Creating Keepsakes site. This one involved making a photo collage out of portions of those 4X6 photos that are difficult to scrap. For me, it’s photo like these from the amusement park…or birthday parties, sporting events…anything where there are other kids, parents, blurs, bad lighting – you name it! So I printed out my 4X6 photos and cut a 3 inch square from each one. I need to do this more often!!!

As if all of the pink weren’t telling enough.

Or the girl parts for that matter. It was the dress, and the tights, and the little sweater with the embroidered flowers that made it really sink in. I have a girl. Or the girl parts for that matter. It was the dress, and the tights, and the little sweater with the embroidered flowers that made it really sink in. I have a girl. Until now, Addy has worn mostly sleepers because…well…they’re functional and warm. And because old man winter decided to roll into town just one week after she was born – dresses weren’t practical. But today, with the temperature going up I figured that it was time to dress up – even if we really had no place to go.

I think that I’m going to love this whole girl thing. Well except for the diaper changes that go along with being dressed up. I had to go through three layers just to find the diaper!!!

And because it’s Dr. Seuss’s Birthday

And while I’m here why not share a layout that I did with the new Piggy Tales papers – a line called Jack and Jill. Totally my favorite one yet!!!

The journaling reads (if you’re interested):
The master of bargaining, that’s what I should call you! This question comes up at least once a day. We’ll say “five more minutes to bedtime” and out comes the question – you’ll like 30 minutes better. Or we’ll give you three marshmallows – you like four (because you’re four). Without fail, your number is always greater than the one you’re given. Rarely does your argument hold up, but it’s fun watching (and hearing) you try!
