It has been a crazy two weeks! Unfortunately, I am the one to blame but we did have a lot of fun! The little dude was on “spring break” – so no school for fourteen days. And because I knew it was coming up, I planned for it. We had lots of play dates with friends, appointments to catch up and quality time together. It was nice having him back again, but busy. It’s amazing how little I’m able to accomplish home-wise with two little ones. But I’ve never been one to sacrifice my kids for a sparkling clean house either.

Today was a school day and I found myself trying to remember my old routine. I did some laundry, changed the sheets, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed and steam mopped the floors, finished my last deadline (go me) and played with my gal. I’m feeling a little more caught up now. And when the L-man got home from school, we baked brownie bites together in the kitchen, with m&m’s. I guess I missed him a little more than I thought that I would and just needed that bit of time with him.

This will be a week of re-settling and extra hugs…because I’ll need them.

Fun!

I look like a total slacker but really, it’s not THAT bad. I’m not sure if you noticed but some of the more current posts are missing. I look like a total slacker but really, it’s not THAT bad. I’m not sure if you noticed but some of the more current posts are missing. Apparently, some jokers out there think it’s fun to write programs that hack into fun family sites to support illegal poker playing. And to think that I wasn’t even invited to the party on my own site…the nerve. Anyway, my super smart geeky web designer programming computer oriented hubby (who I love dearly, hi honey) got me all fixed up and I’m ready to get rolling again.

So how about a photo or two since yesterday WAS Easter and, well, my gal looked really cute (no bias here):

I’m still working my way through photos so hopefully I’ll have some of my boy to share tomorrow! I need to get cracking on my photo shares again!

More later!

And one of my gal use some fabby Prima papers and cardstock from Coredinations. I sanded the cardstock down and got an amazing new look:

And then I’m been REALLY into making hair clips lately. I’ve been finding some great crochet items on Etsy since I don’t know how to do it and they’re still MUCH cheaper than buying a premade clip. I’ve been covering buttons with fabrics (vintage and new retro ones) and adding them to ribbon covered clips. I did the one that I posted about yesterday (check out the American Crafts blog and enter for the drawing). I’m doing ones with cool hand-stitched felt flowers. And now, I’m doing them with the MANY buttons that came in the April kit from It Kit Studio.

I made three of them put them on these little cards using the kit stuff:

And then my little model sporting the fashionable hair clip while in her pajamas still:

The barrettes don’t do so well in her hair yet. But the buttons didn’t work well with the alligator clips.

I’m thinking that I need to share my hair clips in another post. Anyone else make fun hair stuff?

Happy Saturday! More later.

Or at least tryyyyy? Check out the American Crafts blog. Some of the contributing design team (myself included) made an item for St. Patrick’s Day. Addy was wearing my project today!!! My previous blog post…that’s not so cute. I have NO idea what’s going on there. But this photo… …totally cute. The little girl, the little door – my gosh she’s getting big. Her hair is getting longer, she’s walking everywhere and is an absolute doll (my doll)! Something else that’s cute, this months kit from [...]

Something else that’s cute, this months kit from It Kit Studio. While I can’t show it yet, I will say that there are some goodies from my CHA list a few posts back. It’s CUTE and total happiness in one little package. Kind of like my little girl.

Happy weekend!

Naps anyone?

My boys…well…they earned a nap this weekend. During Addy’s nap time they layered on the clothing and went outside to enjoy the snow.

And me? I couldn’t stand to watch for too long. And I don’t think that they wanted me out there anyway:

Look out for the trees
Don’t go too fast
Make sure that he doesn’t fall
Don’t scare him

Yeah…mom is a little uptight. So I dashed outside, snapped a few photos and bolted back inside before I was able to spoil their fun!

And trust me…they had FUN!!!

And they were going REALLY fast…towards the woods…

…and laughing the whole time.

Notice Liam’s “snow cookie” – he refused to put it down for the rides!

We ALL napped well this weekend. The boys from their crazy (and semi-dangerous) sledding. Me from the stress. And Addy…well she’s just Addy and naps really well already.
