Verbally Challenged

Life is still busy in the “K” household! With summer flying by at top speed, well if you want to call it summer since it’s not really in the 80′s consistently, reaching record lows at night and raining when I have plans to do things outside…not to mention that my garden isn’t doing that well and I still don’t really wear too many of my cute summer dresses because I’ll get cold if I go out too early in the morning because remember that record low thing at night and not great summer temps?

yeah I know that was a horribly long grammatically incorrect sentence but I couldn’t help it and really I’m not only VERBALLY challenged but GRAMMATICALLY challenged too…I don’t lie.

Perhaps I should say TIME is flying or maybe we’re just really good at being busy. No?

Finn is still rolling around like a crazy person, see the play mat in the foreground and him nowhere near it?

He’s busy.

And Addy has been busy “mothering” her dolls the best that she knows how. And right now that means putting your pink silky monogrammed princess cape on backwards so that it doubles as a nursing cover…much like mommy’s. Because you know, dolly has to eat and that’s what Finn does.

Liam has been busy being LIam. Which includes lots of everything done quickly and louder than usual. He has also been feeding birds (more of this later) and growing hair because “that’s what Liam’s do best.” If only the tooth would come in as quickly as the hair we’d be set!

And then I’ve been busy sewing (more of that later too), scrapping, playing with and photographing busy kids.

Three weeks ago Finn was six months (I know, consider this a catch up post) and considering that at the same time my computer crashed and my hard drive died and I had to work on my laptop (I know life is rough) I got a bit behind. But I have to get the 6 months stats on the record before I forget!

So at six months this is what my little Finn looks like:

Well, he’s also adorable when he’s a little worried:

He can even pull off a ridiculous spotty orange tie that his mama made him wear:

And a little bit about the handsome dude at this time:
16lbs 12 ounces of pure chubby cuteness
Rolling everywhere
Not sitting up alone well yet (taking after his sister) – he’d much rather arch his back and roll off somewhere
He is the happiest baby alive smiling at whoever smiles at him unless he’s tired or hungry – in which case he’s screaming, crying and squealing until fed or sleeping.
He my first child to squeal so far.
He holds on while he’s nursing like a little monkey and I LOVE that.
He started oatmeal last week and has had it three times now. He was fussy three times after eating it. We’ll be starting avocado soon.
He still only has two teeth and hopefully isn’t working on any others right now since that’s hard on both of us

He’s still nursing about 6-7 times a day. I love every minute with him.
He seems easily amused so should fit in with my other goofballs.
He loves to pull addy’s hair when she gives him one of the million kisses he gets daily
He loves to watch Liam sing and dance for him – who doesn’t! I think that he also likes to watch him because he’s so fast and always moving.
Has pretty significant separation/stranger anxiety. He wants mama. He loves daddy too but not if he can see food….I mean Mommy.
Everyone else is met with tears if you try to take him from me.
Nicknames: Finnie, Finner and the ever popular Finner-man – sung to the tune of Spiderman.
He loves being worn – yay!
Pulls hair – validating my many ponytails
Sleeps well at night, mostly
Naps twice a day – WHEW!

He’s an absolute joy!

I discovered this morning that my kids like to watch themselves doing things while playing around with the video feature on my phone. I’d record them, they’d watch themselves and then ask me what they should do next. Hello opportunity!

So while still experimenting I asked them to sing me a song. They found a “stage” aka big rock in the front of our house and sang their sweet little hearts out.

I present to you my two goofballs (rather cute goofballs if you ask me) singing a modified (thanks to AddY) version of an old classic, enjoy!

Call off the search party! I’m still around despite the crickets you hear chirping when you click on my blog. My computer – still being repaired – yeah the “easy fix” is still being worked on. My camera cards are full and I have photos that I want to print for layouts. I’m starting to whine so I’ll stop and share a recent video the hubs made. It’s an update to last years barn video. And “the barn” is where we go every Tuesday to pick our of fresh veggie co-op which also happens to be a nature center with lots of cool stuff outside. Yes we can!

The problem? Not right now. Or in the next five minutes. Or after dinner. And maybe not tomorrow.

And what is the “it” you ask? Why my computer thank you very much. While dumping photos from the my very busy weekend away that also included a photo shoot of my very new SIX MONTH OLD I got the blue screen of death with some pixelation that reminded me of my old atari days. That’s never good.

BUT it can be fixed as my hero of a husband learned today but we’re not sure when…or where.

SO I’ll be able to post from my laptop but not any photos which is again, not good, especially for those who are verbally challenged
