Two weeks ago I focused on paper crafting, creating all kinds of fun stuff for the Sassafras Lass blog challenge for those you looooooove.

Things like these party favors for the hip boy in your life (I happen to know one of those):

Or this for your favorite teacher who loves to read(from the soon to be favorite student):

Or something like this for your friends (or yourself because you deserve a little something too) who happen to love Runts :

They’re Runts…a little something for everyone in that one little bag.

So back to the projects, there were actually MORE things that I designed and you can see more photos of the projects on the blog. It was a fun week!!!

But last week…I switched it up. I exchanged the papers for fabric and glue for thread and got my sewing on. My fabric stash is getting out of control and I’m thinking spring (despite the two feet of snow outside with the chance of more snow this week). Just looking at her makes me want to break out the sunscreen.

And the baseball bat since my three year old looks fifteen in this photo and you can never be too prepared when it comes to boys.

Can you tell she’s confident? Can you tell she loves clothes? Can you tell she loves taking photos in pretty clothes?

But she’s not perfect and I do have to act fast. Because eventually she starts asking “are you done yet?”

dsc_5823

“Are you still taking pictures?”

dsc_5839

“Is it time for lunch?”

And just like that, we’re done and off to find a snack and eat it while looking all cute.

This week I started a new outfit because spring is in the air. Don’t tell me that it’s not because it’s the only thing I have going for me now. Well that and the new fabric that I ordered this week.

More later.

this one watched the entire time. He also beat on the screen, waved and smiled too – shocking I know -since he’s good at that kind of thing.

It was a snowy week. Heck, it’s still snowy out there and probably will be until May (darned groundhog). My sanity is sure to be missing come spring!

Don’t miss the love!

I figured we were due for a 13 month update and heck, I’m past due. It only took 28 inches of snow on a Saturday morning to force me to dump the photo card and edit some photos. I have my crazy husband to blame for that since he WAS tobogganing down the driveway with his trusty seven year old sidekick and two crazy dogs. Photos were definitely required – stay tuned for those. He almost took me out on one of the passes – I think he did it on purpose.

But maybe not because then he’d be on his own with three kids and taking care of me. He’s smarter than that.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have jumped out of way?

But back to our 13 month old little dude. Here is what the little monkey is up to:

-He likes to climb…especially on the hearth. See?

hearth

He’s pretty proud of that too.

He gives kisses with a HUGE open mouth and then says “ba.”
And then he smiles.
He says “dog” and “cat” (cat was first)
He waves bye with little/no prompting.
He gives five (has been for a month now or little more)
He plays peek-a-boo
He hides head and “sings” – “where is Finn-ie” sung to the old tune “are you sleeping”
He nods the biggest cutest bobble head nod yes.
He smiles.
He give zerberts (how do you spell that word anyway)…has been for at least a month now. He actually finds skin and does it.
He climbs.

hearth2

He hangs on the gates.
He falls.

He gets comforted by my trusty assistant.

cry

Who also mothers him.

Here she is saying, “hold my hand”

hug1

Notice he’s sitting on the hearth? Yeah, he climbed there.

Here the little mother is wanting to “hold” her little baby…I mean brother.

hug2

Can you tell this is something that he’s used to?

hug3

And no worries, while it looks like he’s going to fall off of the hearth he actually doesn’t. But if he did, he could climb right back up.

And then he’d smile.

He still has curls.

curls

And probably will until I cut his hair – which will probably be never since I’m afraid they won’t grow back. I’ve heard stories like that you know.
He loves getting his hair brushed.
That’s great actually since I don’t plan on cutting his hair.

He took 3 steps on January 19th.
He’s walking everywhere now.

walk1

While smiling.

walk2

And trying his hardest…

walk3

Not to fall.

walk4

But sometimes he does, while smiling.

He needs a crash helmet.
